8123 Family: The Maine's Street Team

10 years ago I joined The Maine's street team. Little did I know just how much fun I would have and how much more I would love The Maine and their music.

For me being a member of the street team is a great way to make new friends and help spread the word about this band that I love!! I really love when I can make new fans out of my friends or people that I meet through promoting. While promoting whether online or in person handing out flyers, you can really connect with people and meet new fan friends who you might never have met before. 

Being on the team also has some amazing perks like exclusive opportunities for members. My favorite teamer opportunity was back in October 2016 in Nottingham, England. I used my points to get myself on the guest list and I also got to meet the band before the show.

Yes, The Maine are all about meeting the fans so it's usually pretty easy to meet them after the show but for this meet and greet opportunity it was just me, the 5 guys and Tim!! It was a very relaxed meeting as though it was just me and 6 friends. I loved being able to ask them questions and just talk with them one on one!! And it's not all the time one of your favorite bands wish you a happy birthday in person! 

Being the street team keeps you busy - there are so many missions to complete! I love the creative missions especially surrounding the holidays at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day. I love being able to carve The Maine themed pumpkins or create Christmas gift tags for my friends. Just makes promoting so much more fun when you can explore your creative side.
