8123 Impact Recap From The Mirror
8123 Impact started as an idea back in 2017 for the first ever 8123 Fest. We wanted to find a way to use our platform to promote kindness, ensure we were giving back to the communities who have shown so much love to our artists over the years, and empower members of the 8123 Family to get involved with a non-profit that is meaningful to them.
8123 Impact x Hope For The Day (Chicago - The Mirror Tour)
Fast forward a little over two years, and The Maine’s most recent tour - The Mirror just wrapped up this past weekend. The tour saw our largest 8123 Impact efforts to date! On almost every single date of the tour we partnered with a local charity, rallied our 8123 troops, and successfully completed a volunteer project. Whether these projects were 5 people small or 50 people large, the time and effort you put in for positive change is invaluable. Our goal for the tour was to include as many fans as possible - not by asking you to donate money but instead to donate time. For the cities we couldn’t find a project that aligned with our tour dates or the project we had locked in filled up because of so many enthusiastic registrants - we instead took volunteer pledges from the 8123 Family and you guys signed up for a wide variety of projects back home before the end of the year.
A huge thank you to all of our non-profit partners this tour for being so amazing to work with. Every time we do this we try to work with as many different causes as possible to help represent the diversity in our fan base. Some of the awesome causes we worked with this tour include environmental clean ups, food banks, animal shelters, children’s charities, support groups for low-income folks, medical supplies collections, and more.
This Giving Tuesday if you are able, please consider making a donation or signing up to volunteer with one that speaks to you. Our The Mirror Tour partner organizations are listed below, please check them out and show your support.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for giving back. Music is powerful and has the ability to bring folks from all walks of life together. What better way to harness that power than to do good for the people, animals, and environments that need it most.
We are constantly inspired by the 8123 Family and what you guys are capable of when you come together, and we cannot wait to see what’s in store for 8123 Impact in 2020.
