What To Wear To Warped Tour 2018

An 8123 Community blog by Legacy Jynn.

It’s that time of the year again when the summer is coming in hot and Warped Tour is already upon us! Growing up, every year meant patiently waiting and refreshing the Warped website to see if any of my favourite bands were playing. I’d have a little countdown leading up to the date and an outfit in mind. What makes this year a little different than others is that Warped Tour will be making it’s very last and final run across the country… which also means putting together an epic Warped outfit one last time.

Down below I’ve styled a few easy and comfortable outfits to help you beat the heat and stay fashionable as well!

OUTFIT 1:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • CROP TOP

  • VANS SK8 HI SNEAKERS

  • DENIM SHORTS

  • KIMONO

This outfit is probably the most simple and easy to put together! I styled an 8123 crop top with a worn pair of DIY Levi’s shorts.

Denim is such a classic piece that will never go out of style – whether it be shorts, jeans or jackets. It’s timeless. It can be paired with just about anything and I’m pretty sure that’s why denim shorts are such a staple summer piece.

Kimonos are also pretty versatile when it comes to styling. Throw it on top of an outfit and you’re set! It may also come in handy if your favourite band plays towards the end of the night and it gets chilly.

OUTFIT 2:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • PLAIN BLACK BANDEAU

  • FLOWY BOHO PRINT PANTS

  • BLACK HAT

  • BLACK ANKLE BOOTS

Like the first outfit, this one also doesn’t require much effort. Consider it minimal effort without sacrificing your style!

The bandeau is a super light piece that will keep you the most cool you can be while standing in the heat. The flowy pants will ensure all day comfort and keep the sun from hitting your legs.

The black hat is an essential for blocking the summer sun and hey — it doesn’t look too bad either!

OUTFIT 3:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BLACK BODYSUIT

  • BLACK DENIM SHORTS

  • MESH KIMONO

  • ANKLE BOOTS

  • CHOKER

What says ‘Make America Emo Again’ more than an all black outfit?

Bodysuits are a cute alternative to a simple t-shirt. What I like most about this specific one is that it can be zipped up or down to your liking.

Another outfit highlight is the bodysuit’s open mesh backing. The mesh bodysuit and kimono makes the whole outfit super breathable and helps to avoid sweat.

If you don’t mind a little bit of a heel, copping a pair of comfortable ankle boots are the way to go. But really make sure they’re comfy — you’ll be standing majority of the day!

OUTFIT 4:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • FLOWY PATTERNED DRESS

  • BLACK HAT

  • ANKLE BOOTS

Dresses are a smart idea for a day at Warped. If you can’t decide on what to wear, a dress is your best bet. Literally only one piece of clothing that you need to slip on!

If shorts or pants aren’t your thing, opt for a dress! You can move freely without feeling restricted.

OUTFIT 5:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BAND TEE

  • LEATHER SKIRT

  • DOC MARTENS

  • BLACK HAT

What better way is there to support your favourite band than wearing some merch? I picked up this tee on The Maine’s ‘Fry Your Brain’ tour and it is SO COMFY!

I paired the shirt with a leather skirt, a big hat and sunglasses to accessorize.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that Docs are basically a staple for most Warped Tour go-ers. Likely because they’re extremely comfortable once worn in and durable for the pit.

Tip: style your tee by rolling the sleeves up

Stay hydrated in the heat and don’t forget to catch The Maine play the Journey’s Right Foot stage!

What will you be wearing this year?
